We don't charge for training. Here's how that actually works.

Certification bodies like the Specialty Coffee Academy (SCA) set and charge their own curriculum and exam fees. Our role is different — and it's what keeps the door open to everyone.

We give you online access to information, structured practice, and guided study for internationally recognized curricula.

Providers set exam fees

The Specialty Coffee Academy and other international bodies own the curriculum and exams — and set what those cost.

We earn a bonus, not a fee from you

SCA and other partners pay KCS a referral bonus for the access and practice we provide — not the other way around.

In short: Kenya Coffee School and Barista Mtaani are the access point, not the toll booth. The curriculum and exams belong to international providers like SCA — our members never pay us to learn.

Free online access and structured curriculum only take a learner so far. Westrock Coffee House is where KCS and Barista Mtaani members put it into practice — real espresso machines, real shifts, real customers.

It's the bridge between certification and employability: a place to build the confidence that classrooms alone can't teach, before stepping into the job market.
